The Frequency of Fabrics

Did you know that everything has a frequency? A healthy human vibrates at around 100, while a dying human’s frequency lingers around 15—what a spectrum!

For about two years I have seen a chiropractor (at Healing Arts NYC) for MFT—Morphogenic Field Technique, a type of energy testing, and so I was super intrigued by this idea. I decided to explore whether fabrics carry their own frequencies. I’ve always felt a natural affinity for clothing made from organic materials—snuggling into wool sweaters in winter and enjoying the breathability of cotton and linen in summer. Imagine my excitement when I stumbled upon Dr. Heidi Yellen’s fascinating study on fabric frequencies!

She was curious about a line from the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 22:11) that advises against wearing clothes made of wool and linen woven together. It’s a bit cryptic and certainly caught my attention. This inspired her to explore the frequencies of various fabrics, and here’s what she discovered:

Synthetic fibers range from 0 to 15 in frequency. They drain energy from their surroundings (think of someone wearing polyester leggings all the time or practicing yoga on a synthetic mat—yikes!). In contrast, organic cotton vibrates with a lively frequency of 100, while linen and wool shine brightly at an impressive 5,000! The most intriguing revelation? When wool and linen are combined, their frequencies cancel each other out entirely, resulting in a total frequency of zero.

Here’s a peek at the “Signature Frequencies” for different fabrics:

• Linen: 5,000

• Wool: 5,000

• Mixed linen and wool: 0 ( I mean…wow!)

• Organic cotton: 100

• Cotton: 70

• Silk: 15

• Polyester: 15

• Rayon: 15

So, when it came to choosing fabrics for @thefortat (our tiny house on @thefarmatcatawissacreek), the choice was a no-brainer. We embraced natural materials and left the synthetics behind. Why settle for anything less than the uplifting energy that nature has to offer?
